I am hoping that my blog will give you a sense of who I am, how I work and how I think about psychological issues.  I also want to use this blog as a way of educating people who are thinking about doing psychotherapy.

I hope to address some of the following in my blog:

  • How to know when to seek psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy or counseling
  • How to recognize depression
  • How to chose a therapist and know it’s a good fit
  • What to expect in terms of fees and possible goals in therapy
  • How to recognize anxiety and panic attacks and how therapy can be helpful
  • The difference between grief and depression
  • How to recognize Post-traumatic stress (PTSD)
  • How can medication be helpful and when to consider it
  • When couples’ or family therapy might be advisable

Some entries will include my random reflections about and an issue, thought, workshop I’ve attended.  I hope these entries will be helpful to you.
