I am hoping that my blog will give you a sense of who I am, how I work and how I think about psychological issues. I also want to use this blog as a way of educating people who are thinking about doing psychotherapy.
I hope to address some of the following in my blog:
- How to know when to seek psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy or counseling
- How to recognize depression
- How to chose a therapist and know it’s a good fit
- What to expect in terms of fees and possible goals in therapy
- How to recognize anxiety and panic attacks and how therapy can be helpful
- The difference between grief and depression
- How to recognize Post-traumatic stress (PTSD)
- How can medication be helpful and when to consider it
- When couples’ or family therapy might be advisable
